NeoStat® VXI Dissipative Vinyl Interlocking Tiles
A superior interlocking dissipative floor tile which actually tests as well as a permanent dissipative floor installation. NeoStat® VXI vinyl interlocking tiles are ideal for a quick installation and where there may be a requirement to relocate the floor at a later date.
VXI vinyl interlocking tiles are well specified for the primary grounding of personnel and equipment, controlling body voltages to less than 100V.
Each tile has an overall thickness of 6mm comprising a 2mm thick homogeneous surface and a 4mm thick backing manufactured from a mix of carbon granules and recycled vinyl. An embedded double fibre glass grid gives the tile its strength.
Apart from producing low body voltage levels when used in conjunction with an approved foot grounding method, VXI vinyl has some excellent properties and characteristics which make it suitable for use in the electronics industry:

Where the existing floor condition permits, VXI vinyl interlocking tiles can be laid directly onto a grid of copper earthing strips with no requirement for adhesive. This can be carried out by the customer, although we would normally recommend installation by our own fitters.
Where the customer requests installation by SSE, an initial survey will be undertaken by SSE’s engineers to assess the site conditions and advise on any necessary preparatory work.
Finally, the floor is linked to an earth connection point which also serves as a floor test junction box.
Following a VXI floor installation carried out by SSE’s installers, a Technical Manager will visit site, thoroughly test the floor to check its dissipative performance and issue a Certificate of Conformance to confirm it complies with the requirements of BS EN 61340.
