Sievi - Continuous Development
Sievi's safety footwear is constructed of a variety of components combining advanced safety and comfort.
The upper material varies according to the purpose and conditions for which the shoe has been designed. The upper has to be breathable and hard-wearing. Materials such as breathable and washable microfibre and technical fabrics are used in Sievi footwear in addition to leather. Thanks to their first-rate materials, Sievi footwear are extremely resistant to wear, dirt and various chemicals, water repellent and maintain their shape throughout their service lives.
Sole materials are carefully chosen to fit the shoe's purpose. In working conditions, the sole has to be
able to withstand oil, chemicals and, if necessary, high temperatures. In indoor work, breathability is key. All Sievi footwear is made with proprietary microporous FlexStep® sole material developed by Sievi, which retains its excellent shock absorption and flexibility also in winter conditions and provides a stable footing on slippery surfaces due to its great grip. Sievi has also developed other sole solutions for different conditions, such as the GripStep® friction sole, patented Sievi Spike studded sole and breathable SieviAir® sole.
