What data we DO collect
- We only collect and store data that is relevant to providing our services and informing current and prospective customers of products, services and offers. The data is stored on secure servers with password access required. Data includes: name, workplace address, company telephone numbers, company email address and information to categorise employment role and organisation type.
- Transaction records are maintained for the minimum time required by legislation.
- Communication history will be maintained to assist in fulfilling current and future contracts. There is no time limit on how long this information is stored for.
What data we do NOT collect
- We will never actively collect personal (private) information outside of the company information detailed above or otherwise deemed necessary to fulfil our services. If any non-relevant personal information is communicated to us in any format, it will not be recorded in our information systems unless we have been specifically instructed to by the individual providing the information.
- We do not track companies or individuals using our website and any statistics we receive are anonymous.
- We do not record telephone calls but may make notes in our information systems relating to the call.
- We do not retain card payment details
Card Payment Data
- SSE is PCI DSS compliant and uses Opayo by Elavon for our 3-D Secure online card payment processing
- Merchant services are provided by Lloyds Bank plc Cardnet®
- SSE does not see, store or handle card details used through our website
- Any card details separately provided over the phone and written down are securely shredded once used
- If any card details are provided over email, the email is deleted and any printed copy shredded
- No card details are intentionally recorded on our MIS
Sharing of information
- Information collected will be shared internally via the company information systems. If there is any information that you wish to be kept confidential, please instruct your contact at SSE and the necessary precautions will be taken.
- Information will only be shared with third parties without consent when either the contract requires it, to communicate our products and services where required or authorised by law, or as otherwise described in this Privacy Notice. Only relevant information will be shared. We will not publish information in the public domain unless written consent has been given.
Communication of products and services
- From time to time we will communicate to individuals considered to have a legitimate interest in SSE and the products and services we can offer. Communication will generally be made via email, post and telephone. We have undertaken the relevant assessments to ensure all personal data meets the legitimate interest criteria
- Communication made by email will from time to time be made through a third party. Currently Mailchimp is used. A copy of their privacy policy can be found at https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy Any questions on how they handle data can be requested by emailing SSE at sse@staticsafe.co.uk.
- You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the marketing email or by emailing your request to sse@staticsafe.co.uk. Communication for the purpose of communicating information or documentation specifically relating to a contract is considered a fundamental requirement of the contract and therefore cannot be unsubscribed from. You can however instruct us on your preferred method of communication.
