NeoStat® VXS Dissipative Vinyl Sheet

NeoStat® VXS Dissipative Vinyl Sheet is tough and hardwearing ESD floor material, capable of withstanding loads of up to 120kg/cm2. It exhibits excellent ESD characteristics and NeoStat® VXS ESD flooring is particularly well suited for areas where regular wet cleaning takes place, often specified in medical/laboratory areas. Suitable for use in ISO 4 Cleanrooms.

SSE offers a complete package including installation or can supply the material for self-install.

Key benefits of NeoStat® VXS Dissipative Vinyl Sheet:

  • Homogeneous static dissipative ESD flooring sheet material
  • Permanent ESD grounding with conductive carbon veins running through the entire sheet
  • ISO 4 cleanroom compliant
  • Humidity independent
  • Body voltage <100V, typically 40V*
  • Resistance to ground (Rg) between 1.0 x 106 Ω (1 MΩ) – 1.0 x 108 (100 MΩ)*
  • Hardwearing and resistance to heavy loads (FLT with hard wheels max 2.5t, air tyres max 5t)
  • Excellent resistance to chemicals (EN ISO  26787)
  • Smooth, easy to clean, pore free surface
  • Low maintenance costs

*Subject to regular cleaning and maintenance as recommended by SSE.

Also available in tile, VXS ESD vinyl sheet is well specified for the primary grounding of personnel and equipment, controlling body voltages to typically around 40V  and resistance to ground (Rg) in the dissipative range between 1.0 x 106 Ω (1 MΩ) – 1.0 x 108 (100 MΩ).

NeoStat® VXS sheet is a homogeneous vinyl that comprises a network of tiny black conductive carbon veins running through the sheet creating conductor paths that allow safe electrostatic discharge through the whole thickness of the sheet material. Used in conjunction with conductive adhesive, this provides reliable permanent grounding without the need for ESD floor treatments.

Installation of NeoStat® VXS Dissipative Vinyl Sheet

An initial discussion and/or survey will be undertaken by SSE’s ESD flooring engineers to assess the site conditions and advise on any necessary preparatory work.

Once the surface has been prepared, VXS vinyl is laid on conductive adhesive and a copper earthing grid.

Finally, the floor is linked to an earth connection point which also serves as an ESD floor test point for resistance to ground measurements.

Following an SSE floor installation, a Technical Manager will visit site, thoroughly test the floor to check its dissipative performance and issue a Certificate of Conformance to confirm it complies with the requirements of BS EN 61340.
