NeoStat® RX Dissipative Rubber ESD Flooring
NeoStat® RX Dissipative Rubber ESD Flooring is a high-performing ESD rubber flooring for installation in environments where the control of damaging electrostatic discharges (ESD) is essential.
Available in sheet or tile, NeoStat® RX rubber is the ideal flooring solution for the primary grounding of personnel and equipment, controlling body voltage to less than 10V when used with compliant ESD footwear.
In addition to producing very low body voltage levels, NeoStat® RX Rubber reliably controls the dissipation of static electricity to between 106 Ω (1 megohm) – 108 Ω (100 megohm), unaffected by humidity levels (subject to routine cleaning to avoid the build up of dirt and other contaminants).
Key benefits of NeoStat® RX Dissipative Rubber ESD Flooring:
- Supplied and installed by SSE, experts in ESD flooring for over 40 years
- Exceptional controlled ESD performance of 106 Ω – 108 Ω tested at <25% RH
- Consistently very low body voltage generation of <10V
- Superior footfall sound absorption compared to hard floors (6-7 dB)
- Suitable for heavy loads (6 N/mm²)
- High chemical, solvent, heat and wear resistance (including chair castors)
- Low ongoing maintenance costs, volume conductive so no coatings required
- Option of Integral coved skirting for ease of cleaning
- Recyclable and environmentally friendly
- Free of PVC, other halogenated polymers and phthalate plasticizers
- Highly flame-retardant (EN 13 501) and fire-toxicologically safe (DIN 53 436)
- Suitable for underfloor heating (maximum 35 degrees Celsius)
Installation
If required, an initial survey will be undertaken by SSE’s engineers to assess the site conditions and advise on any necessary preparatory work. SSE can offer some floor preparation options where required, including removal of existing flooring and screed underlayment.
Once the surface has been prepared, NeoStat® RX rubber is laid on conductive adhesive and a grid of copper earthing strip, terminated to an earth connection point which also serves as a floor test point for resistance to ground measurements.
Following an SSE floor installation the floor will be tested to check its dissipative performance and a Certificate of Conformance issued to confirm it complies to the requirements of BS EN 61340-5-1.
