ESD Wrist Strap and Lead Test Procedure:
To carry out a test, position the ESD wrist strap on the wrist as normal, ensuring contact with the skin. Connect the wrist strap lead to the tester via the 4mm banana plug or 10mm stud depending on lead connector. Press and hold the stainless steel button to perform the test.
The result will either be a green LED light for pass, or red LED light for either a low or high fail test.
An audible alarm will sound with a fail.
An amber light signifies a low battery and the battery should be replaced.
The person completing the test must be wearing the wrist strap and press the button, the test cannot completed by 2 people.
