NeoStat® RX Dissipative Rubber Sheet

NeoStat RX Rubber Static Dissipative Flooring

Rubber flooring is used widely in the electronics industry where the control of damaging electrostatic charges is often of paramount concern. NeoStat® RX rubber is the perfect flooring for the primary grounding of personnel and equipment, controlling body voltage to less than 10 V.

In addition to producing very low body voltage levels, when used in conjunction with an approved foot grounding method, RX rubber has some outstanding properties and characteristics which make it ideal for use in the electronics industry:

Made from homogeneous flexible rubber, RX flooring is available in a range of patterns, colours and finishes. NeoStat® RX flooring material is also available in 600mm square tiles.

  • Superior ESD performance
  • Excellent chemical, heat and wear resistance
  • Low maintenance costs
  • Recyclable and environmentally friendly
  • Resistance to solvents
  • No acidic fumes or dioxins released when exposed to fire

Typical applications in the electronics industry include:

  • Production and assembly areas
  • Service and repair areas
  • R & D laboratories
  • Telephone exchanges
  • Computer centres
  • Storage areas

Installation

An initial survey will be undertaken by SSE’s engineers to assess the site conditions and advise on any necessary preparatory work.

Once the surface has been prepared, RX rubber is laid on conductive adhesive and a grid of copper earthing strips.

Finally, the floor is linked to an earth connection point which also serves as a floor test junction box.

Following an SSE floor installation a Technical Manager will visit site, thoroughly test the floor to check its dissipative performance and issue a Certificate of Conformance to confirm it complies to the requirements of BS EN 61340.
